We decided that DH needed a Kindle of his own, since we're both avid readers. I know that SDM has them, but they're $140 and I was given a hard time about buying a gift card the day I was going to buy it, so I left it behind.
Anyhow, I ordered an SDM GC from my credit card points, it arrived today, and DH was excited enough that he went tonight to buy the Kindle. I didn't see it advertised in the flyer, but it was only $109.99! I just ordered a case from Amazon.ca for about $6 - $2.15 item with $2.99 shipping, oh well. Beats the $25 ones! Mine has a cheapo case and it works just fine, the Kindle is in my purse most of the time.

Do you like reading on it Zonny? My wonders are how does it work if you want to get books from the library or downloads. I have been thinking about this.

I LOVE reading on my Kindle. DH was skeptical at first, but now he also loves it. That's why we needed two! Mine has wifi, but I don't use it really. My book collection is on my laptop. When I want a book, I connect a cable between my laptop and Kindle and move what I want over.
You cannot borrow books from the library with a Kindle, at least not yet. In the US you can, but not here. You can get library books with another e-reader, maybe Nook? However, I've discovered you can share books, I've emailed books to people.
