Looking forward to a very Frugal June!! My pc pts will suffer since I don't plan on buying much so my PC MasterCard will be lonely lol.
    Meal planning for sure!
The 4th annual Butter Tart festival is June 11th in Midland but I have my "festival money" saved for that.
We are going to the Kim Mitchel concert at Casino Rama that evening with free tickets and will use free comps for dinner.

So a bit of fun but for cheap!

This weekend my honey works so I will be working on the house cleaning and posting stuff for sale to get it sold and build the jar money. So will be a frugal weekend

Good morning! Hump day and June 1st wow! My frugal month has started

Tonight we have a local game so it gives us time to go home and eat and get ready. I will clean up a bit and sort the laundry incase I am ready to start it when I get home.
Dinner tonight will be bacon, eggs and toast.
Last night while redeeming FPC's that expired yesterday (6pk pepsi and 2L pepsi and Ruffles) the ruffles rang in at $4.29 (should have been $3.99) But still who pays this??? lol Anyway we got a bag free for SCOP My DS was impressed lol
I need to get my coupons organized so I'm not leaving it to the last minute again.

Good Morning and welcome to June,

It's going to be another tight month as some of May's expenses have found their into June's budget .

Dh is running into FB on his way home this evening to pickup some of the pork loins on sale for $1.44lbs and just in time as we only have 2 small packs of pork left from the last sale. He will also be using coupons on the Jane's chicken sale $4.97 - $2 = $2.97 great for those lazy days which I have been having way too much lately.

My goals for June are stockup on meat and only shop for items when on sale w/ coupons. And of course the staples (milk, bread, fruits/veggies), the grocery budget is very snuck thus the stockup on meats.

Today is my dad's birthday, I will give him a shout shortly, they are currently in Alberta travelling for the summer.

I posted a sofa/hall table which I purchased when renovating our bedroom and I have someone that is interested, she plans to pickup today which is great. I will return the funds into the renovation account. I sold the other sofa/hall table last week which I purchase for our room (was hoping to use that 1 as a desk but it didn't work out).

Has anyone made a roman blind using an old mini blind? Saw this on Pinterest and wondering if anyone has made or attempted one?

Well off to call my dad and put the whole chicken in the sink to thaw for supper.

Good timing on the pork sale! My honey bought one the other day (even though we said no more meat for the freezer!!) and we chopped it up into chops and had Sunday night on BBQ. Now he wants to buy another lol. I prefer chicken but it was good.

I want to have an extra Frugal June so I will be here to cheer you on. I have a pocket/purse full of change so going to No Frills on my lunch break to buy a watermelon or 2 (500 PC PTS each) and we love it (on for $2.97). Still want us eating well/healthy so I'm not feeling bad for buying it.

Yesterday, more memory arrived for our computer. It was my first purchase from Amazon from a third party and I'm glad it made it through customs without extra charges. Our computer is much more stable now, has twice as much memory and DH will install the latest operating system this weekend. I should ask him if there is a cost.

I'm thinking about getting a silicone popsicle maker for LO from Amazon. She went to a park last weekend and she really wanted a popsicle she saw another child had. It's a lot easier to turn down outside purchases when I can tell her she has one at home. Thank goodness for free Amazon orders!

Also yesterday, I did a paid taste test for lactose-free ice cream. I tried ginger, green tea, and vanilla and ate the entire scoop for each. Yum! I was also able to jog to daycare afterwards and save the bus fare again.

We had no time to make lunches for today, so I'm eating my leftover hummus and DH ate a tin of Campbell's from the cupboard. It's been a frugal 24 hours, so I'm really happy about that.

Sold 2 pairs of DS's too small shorts today for $5. She asked me to deliver (she is a nice old women and lives near my office) so did so when it was convenient for me. She told me she would give me money for delivery (she did last time when I wasn't expecting it) Told her today no charge but she insisted I take it and buy a coffee lol. So $7 for the crap sold jar. Have a pick up for $4 arranged for tomorrow (lot of DS's books he isn't interested in).

Spent $3.95 at No Frills on 2 dozen eggs. (Free Watermelon!!) Will go with all the bacon (free) and bread (.75 loaf) I have in the freezer.

I did a taste test yesterday and earned 25.00 for maybe 15 minutes of my time and the place is on my way home from the office so not at all inconvenient.
I need a frugal month too. the freezer is overflowing. But with the boys home all summer I am trying to stock up on easy meals for them as they feed themselves. Today I picked up frozen pizza as I had a PC offer & then noticed after that I had the same pizza on check out 51 as well as hot dogs I bought early in the week. I need to get better at checking out the app when I shop.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

There are so many options with the pork loins, kabobs, pork chops, marniate and slice thinly add pepper onions and voila buritos/wraps or fajitas, I find if cooking as a roasts (but they need to be cut in 1/2 so they don't dry out), pulled pork, etc....I have a whole Pinterest board for Pork, Chicken, ground beef, etc it comes in handy.

My dad was off to Denny's for a free breakfast for his bday , it's apparently all day breakfast he said he may find another Denny's closer to supper

Supper tonight is whole chicken sure glad the airconditioner is going as the house did heat up some, atleast I'm not freezing at the moment.

Going to marinated some pork tonight for kabobs for tomorrows supper, yummy and super cheap

I have 1 lady coming to pickup hall/sofa table and posted another item for sale and it was sold in 2 minutes going to double check with dh that he doesn't want the 2nd item before it walks out the door.

I'm sad that I just have too many nice to me things and a small house oh well such is life.

Laundry dried outside and folded and put away as they are calling for rain tomorrow and all weekend, glad I'm all caught up.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening, stay cool

Very interested in following this thread! My DH and I are starting the jar system again (but using baggies - easier to store and be discreet! lol). We've been down to one income since last October and have been finding it very tight. Can't wait to hear about all the great ideas and tips! Right now I'm debating about puff pastry.....easier to buy ready made or make homemade? Is it less expensive to make your own?

DH and I are planning a night at the movies on the cheap - we have (2) free tickets and just over $8 left on a giftcard - might be able to at least afford some movie snacks! Lol. Still boggles my mind how much they charge for popcorn and fountain pop - two of the cheapest things! lol.

Been saving up my FPC's - any idea the best way to maximize them? I was thinking about an SDM spend $50 get 20X points kind of thing? But I'm so hesitant with the new system - I hear they accept FPC's like money, but I don't want to get to the cash and find out I need to spend more. Guess I'm a little wary.....

cally, about the puff pastry - I've seen it made on baking/cooking shows, and it's so much work! With the effort required, and having to buy so much butter, I can't see it being any cheaper than the bought stuff. There are usually coupons out for Tenderflake products, as well.
Mind you, if there is a huge taste difference, maybe for some it would be worth the effort to make.

I don't use puff pastry very often, I use phyllo more - and that I would never consider making!
