Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Squares
- Makes 12 squares.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Butter - 6-8 Cups Mini Marshmallows - 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla - 6 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal - 1/2 Cup Smooth Peanut Butter - 2 Cups Chocolate Chips
Instructions:
1. Melt butter and marshmallows in large pot over low-medium heat, whisking constantly. Add peanut butter and vanilla, and whisk until combined. Add Rice Krispies cereal and mix until it looks good enough to eat.
2. Pour Rice Krispies cereal mixture into a lightly greased 8×8 baking dish and place in the fridge to harden (about 20 minutes). Once that is done, remove from 8×8 pan (flip it over onto a cutting board), and cut into about 12 pieces.
3. Fill a small pot with water (half full should do it) and place a small bowl on top. Pour the chocolate chips in the bowl and turn the burner on to high heat.
4. Once chocolate is melted, remove from stove. You can either dip your Rice Krispies treats into the chocolate, or pour the chocolate over them.JOIN NOW WIN BIG in the Survivor Pool starting in the Spring

Crunchy Cornflake Bananas
Preparation time:
Cooking time:
Yield: 4
Ingredients- 4 bananas, peeled
- 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 stick (1/4-cup or 4 tablespoons) of butter
Directions- Set up a standard breading station by pouring the flour into one bowl, the eggs into a second and the cornflakes into a third.
- To keep your hands from becoming breaded, use one hand to handle the bananas while they are dry, and the other hand while they are wet. Dredge the bananas in the flour first then shake off any excess before adding to the egg. Coat well with the egg, drain well then toss into the cornflakes. Coat well.
- Melt butter in a large skillet. When it begins to foam, add the bananas and pan fry on all sides until golden and crunchy.

Strawberry Nutella Poptarts
Yield: 6 Poptarts
These Strawberry Nutella Poptarts are a snap to put together and would make the perfect Valentine's Day breakfast in bed for the kiddos...or your lover!
Ingredients:
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon water
1 package refrigerated pie crust
6 heaping teaspoons Nutella
6 heaping teaspoons strawberry jelly
2 large strawberries, sliced lengthwise and carved into hearts
coarse sugar (or granulated sugar)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silpat mat.
In a small bowl, whisk together egg yolk and 1 teaspoon water. Set aside.
Roll out pie crust till it's pretty thin (about 1/16th of an inch thick). Cut into 2.5 inch x 3.5 inch rectangles, re-rolling the dough as needed. You should end up with 12 rectangles.
Take 6 of the rectangles and cut out a heart in the center, using the strawberries carved into hearts as a guide. Set aside.
On each of the 6 remaining rectangles, spread 1 heaping teaspoon of Nutella, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges. Then top the Nutella with a layer of strawberry jam, again making sure to leave a 1/2 inch border.
Place a strawberry carved heart on top of the strawberry jam layer, in the center of the rectangle. Top with the pie dough with the heart carved out of the center.
Seal the edges with the prongs of a fork and brush with egg wash mixture. Sprinkle heavily with coarse sugar.
Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to a cooling rack. Let cool for 5 minutes and then serve!
