With what can you affectively remove adhesive?

Have you tried oxi-clean & water on the carpet stain?

A hairdryer works!!!

I tried using nail polish remover on a dresser and it removed the problem and the wood dreeser under it. Be careful.

For glass/metal/plastic surfaces, nail polish remover works great.

For blood stains (when I was on dialysis, I was a "bleeder"), peroxide is the best thing. BUT it can remove the dye from fabric, so test first.

I also have a weird body (insert joke here :P) in that with anything sticky (bandaid, etc), the adhesive part stays on me & is a pain to remove (at the hospital, they call out "Hey sticky lady" when I come in :P). The best thing for removing anything sticky from skin is rubbing alcohol.

For pet messes on carpet, clean up as much of the mess as you can, then pour vinegar on the area. Let it soak in, then clean the area with warm water. Blot the area as dry as you can, then pour rubbing alcohol on it. Rubbing alcohol will air dry very fast.

A friend of mine had a sick doggy leave a couple of bladder's worth of urine on her hardwood floor (it was an old house & had soaked right in). She cleaned up the mess, then poured rubbing alcohol on the area & let it soak in. Once it dried, she poured more rubbing alcohol on the area. I think she used about 3 bottles in the end (rubbing alcohol is cheap, about $1/bottle) & there was no odour left in the end. The animals didn't even bother sniffing the area - that's always a good sign. :P

Be careful the siding on trailers can mark very easily(they are not regular aluminum siding). You may take it right off if you use something too harsh.

I use peanut butter to get off adhesive from stickers on products. I don't know if it would work on the trailor and it might cost a lot before you finished with the cost of peanut butter these days. Plus, it might attract squirrels and bluejays!;)

Yes but only for a second or two. Once you rinse with some cold water, the smell goes away. I used to use a product called DD7, I'm dating myself here, but it was a fabulous stain remover. If you had a real tough stain like oily salad dressing, you could apply it straight, but most often I diluted it. But....never fails, when you find something that is amazing, they either stop making it, or stop selling it in stores and you have to order it online. Next best thing for me at home these days is the lighter fluid.

unforunatly my hubby moved the trailer somewhere else away from home before I got a chance to try these methods. But I will be trying them the next time I need to remove anything sticky.

WD-40 or cooking oil, even a body lotion might work- just need something oily.

Try Toothpaste. ( Most of us have a tube or two laying around as we are Smartcanuckers.) Don't use gel just reg. Rub in with a soft cloth. Try a small area and see if it works. :)
