Shoppers allows overages which I probably should have realized, but as I get older I think I'm losing my "edge" a bit!

Two transactions, one with 2 free nestea & 5 free marshmallows (paid for the 6th), the second with 2 free nestea & free eggs - can't beat that! Plus a few SDM points and 2 contest entries for the 3Million points which ended last night - wouldn't it be great if one of us SCer's won??? Please post if anybody wins!

Hi, I looked at the Nestea coupon and it says "Nestea Iced Tea, Coca-Cola Ltd. will pay you (meaning SDM) your full regular retail price plus any applicable taxes and 10.25 cents handling". As Shoppers regular price was 4.99 and they had the Nestea on sale for 2 for $7.99, I received an overage of $1.99 on the purchase of 2 free cases on both shopping trips. Sure would be nice if all stores did this!

Congrats on the overage, they don't do that anywhere in Toronto that I know about!

And yes, I have often wondered if it would be an SCer who would win the three million points. OMG...I can't even imagine. :D

Great shop! No overages at Shoppers around here either. You may be one of the few lucky ones whose SDM does this. Enjoy the perk!

I got overages 2 weekends in a row at my SDM. Today I wasn't that lucky but did manage to get 4 cartons of free orange juice + Nestea.(+ 2 free bags of Pull ups-CAS pays for them)

Yeah! Good job on getting the overage! They do let it sometimes at my Shoppers but it depends on which cashier you get. Most of the time they say no though. So I guess it's all the more special that you can!

I don't think they're technically supposed to do overage - but what happens with Shoppers is that the multi-buy or sale price doesn't show up until after they press total so sometimes you get lucky and they put in the value that's on the screen not what you'd actually be paying. Works out in your favour though - and frankly it's their own fault for making their system so confusing.

Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are.
