Rotten Peaches
This isn't a big rant, not even really a rant, more like a mild complaint.
I bought a basket of Ontario peaches from Sobeys on Thursday and we ate the top layer, and they were delicious. Yesterday DH pulled the cardboard out to get to the bottom layer and they were all rotten. I was looking forward to those.
So a word of warning check both layers of fruit before you buy them.

You can call the store and let them know you would like a refund when you go there again.
They may want to see the rest of the peaches.

Yes I would contact the store. You can get an exchange pretty easy if you want more peaches.

This happened to me too :(
I made a peaches & cream dessert the night I bought the peaches (from Walmart), then went to have one for breakfast the next day and the basket was gone. I asked dbf what happened to them, and he said that he had to throw them out. They were all rotten under the cardboard.
Now I'll be checking the lower peaches too before buying!

Definitely take them back...if you think about it, you ended up paying double for your fruit since you didn't get to eat half of it. With soft fruits, I always like to buy a few in bulk; sometimes peaches are mealy and flavourless, those would go to waste in my house.

I bought peaches from No Frills this weekend, and even though I've found their produce to be hit and miss, the peaches looked fine on the outside. Thank goodness I cut into one rather than biting into it, or I would have been in for a nasty surprise. I love fruit, so I hate when both it, and my money, goes to waste.
I would echo the idea of taking them back to Sobeys.

you can return them, I have brought back 3/4 bags of potatoes that were thoroughly disgusting and less than a week old.
-
i like the packaging from rcss - clear plastic :top:
not the best for the environment, but at least you don't have to lift every single peach to see what's underneath it

I returned them today and they gave me my money back no problem.
I didn't have the receipt, but she said that if I had the receipt. She would have given me my money back and replaced the peaches. She said they do that with produce.
Good customer service.
