Please ask yourself that and evaluate all the sections that SC has before posting. The Tea Room is getting quite cluttered with threads that should be elsewhere like...

- if you have a question about shopping or produst opinions - try the shopping discussion section.
- if you have a beauty/ product question - there is a fashion section.
- is it something about TV/movies/games/self-admittedly silly things that entertain you - there is an entertainment section.
- have an health issue or question - there is the health section.

And so on! Thanks!

Once upon a time, long long ago and far away, there was a debate section. But the village people didn't behave and the evil overlord Boo Radley took that privilege away. Times haven't changed.

Another forum I am on has one that is set up with a membership based system, you ask to be a member of it and heated convos get you booted (1 day, 3 days, 1 week then permanent) would Boo consider something like that?

i can name at least a handful of ppl that would run through that system pretty quick.
just make it a section with a disclaimer... under 18 years and the weak of heart need not enter.
