Just want to let you guys know...

..how much you all have helped me. I don't know if this can be considered a brag but thanks to you all I have saved so much money during this difficult time. I have become better at math (ugh lol!), started eating healthier and felt confident in knowing my Kitties had food.

Most importantly though...it's hard to even type this but you have all helped me get back to "normal". I lost my mother less than a year ago and it took it's toll on me. I didn't know who I was anymore and it was so hard to just get out of bed. My DH tried everything and I finally realized what I was doing to myself so I threw myself into a hobby - couponing.

So THANK YOU! I still miss her but I know she would be happy that I was able to get out of the "hole" I was in so to speak. She would have loved this place. This site saved my life! :love:

i know how you feel, bc i lost my mom too.

I lost my Mom too. Almost 4 years now even though it seems like yesterday. Having a hobby really does help take the focus elsewhere. I found once I got good at couponing and had a stash going I was able to donate locally. I did it remembering my Mom. That really was another step in healing. Helping others.
SC is an amazing site. I didn't find it until after she passed away as well. She would have loved it too. Its like a big family on here.
Hang in there. It does not get easier but you will find ways to work around missing her (for example honouring her instead). If you ever need an ear just PM me. I am so glad you are on here.

I lost my dad 4 1/2 months ago and I know what you mean.

There are alot of things I am still not interested in but couponing gives me something to do. I love talking to people about my savings and giving them insight on how to save and get deals. It makes me feel good when I can help others and know that my dad would be happy that I am helping others and not moping around. I have my moments though.

Your mother is probably so very proud of you!! (although if she's like my mother, she's probably up there shaking her head and smiling at you when you get all giddy about sales and free stuff!! Then she's telling all her friends up there about what am amazing daughter she has, and how much she saved this week!) ;)

It's great that you have found support here. It's a terrific place, as you know! I also lost my mother just over a year ago. I think of her every day. Good luck in finding all the coups you use!
