I've been saving some of my FPC's just for an occasion like this!!! Most of the coupons I used today I found on my recycle walks from the SYB promotion. So scary to think how much people throw out. So before I headed up to the cottage I hit Metro. I had $5 on me and was thankful that the basic things I needed I had FPCs for. I couldn't wait!

Here's what I got:
Natrel Milk $5.49
Strawberries $2.50
Breyers Ice Cream $3.99
Panebello Pizza $3.33 - $1 coupon = $2.33
2x Smarties $3.99 each - 2x FPC = free
Danone Collisions $2.49 - FPC = free
2x Silk milk - 2x FPC = free
Nortica Cottage Cheese $3.69 - FPC = free
Wonderbread invisibles $3.69 - FPC = free
Artic Garden Veggies $4.49 - FPC = free
2x Danone Yogurt $2.49 each - 2x FPC = free
2x Nestea $5 each (yes I caved for airmiles) - 2x FPC = free (plus 15 bonus airmiles)
16x Tetley Tea (my hubby and Mom are gonna love me!) $4.99 each - 16x FPC = free
My subtotal came to $13.81
Out came the airmiles cash and redeemed $10!!!
Paid $3.81
I saved $124.84 in coupons!!!

Plus I got 6 regular airmiles, 15 bonus for the nestea and 60 airmiles for spending over $100!!!! I almost got my $10 back!!!!!

Great shopping. Love how you made money on your freebies. Now that is smart shopping. I also cashed in many FPC's at Metro this weekend and was curious to know when those bonus airmiles will be credited to my card.

Never, atleast in my experience. I did a promo for this a while back, spend $95 get 95 airmiles. Am sure a lot of SC members remember it. I used dollar off coupons tho and no FPC's. My total was $110 or something and I spent about $50 OOP but never did get my 95 airmiles. When I called Metro I was told I had to call Airmiles as they would be adding them at a later date. Two months went by with nothing so I called Airmiles who claimed I never spent $95 because I used coupons. I argued the whole thing of coupons are tender and they get the money (and more!) back for them etc etc but was told too bad so sad you didn't spend $95 cash (debit or credit).

So now I don't participate in these as much as my FPC selection expiring at the end of the month would like to.

Wow, awesome shopping!!!! The only thing that could have made it better for me was FPC's on the cases of Nestea........but at least you got the bonus airmiles!! WTG!!

Great job! Don't throw out the Tetley UPC's.You can redeem them for Tetley collectibles.

Oh I know! Our Metro had a huge mountain of the older movie BOGO boxes. Honestly I don't like the stuff and I've only been getting them for friends and family. I still have one FPC left so I can still keep their stock up..lol!

I wish I could spend my airmiles cash on groceries!!!! In SK we can only spend them at Shell or Rona!!!
