What are Reps?

Hello!

I have been a member for a while now and I am still figuring out what all the little icons are that show up in my stats. Apparently we can get reps? What are they and how do you give/receive them? Also, can you message people via reps? I got a notification I had two new reps and it looked like people tried to message me through them, but now I have no idea how to get back to view those messages. Just don't tell my DH I'm asking this question.... he is a web developer and would probably laugh at me for not being able to figure it out haha

Click the star at the left bottom corner of the post! Usually you click see rep and it takes you there!

The icons in this explanation need some major updating but the idea is still the same. Instead of the little cloudy looking thing you click the six point star at the bottom on the person's post that you want to rep. You can type in a message if you wish but it's not mandatory.

If you want to go back and see some of your older reps, click on "settings" at the top right of the page. Scroll past all of your subscribed threads, depending on how many you have it could take a bit. When you click to see new reps you still have to scroll past the subscribed threads.. wish they'd fix that so you didn't have to scroll.. hint hint Boo...

say i give member "xyx" a rep - how many reps do i have to "spread" before being able to rep the same member again?

i think it's about 20
