Oh, oh....I think I might be in trouble! Nat, I really liked your idea of the No Boarding Pass train because with me being a Postmaster I really didn't feel right about asking for stamps for a boarding pass for my first train. But, I should have contacted you first and asked you if it was ok that I used your train idea though. After looking at your train and then mine they look really alike. I am really sorry about that. That wasn't intentional.

Thanks, I like the idea with having different options for a boarding pass too. My issue, however, is NOT when people copy that part of a train. When I first started doing vwt's there was only one option for a boarding pass: 3 p stamps.... and then it turned into 4 p stamps. At some point (((please correct me if I'm wrong))) I think I added a few other options. And then some other people did too. And then it became common to do so. I wouldn't call that copying---I just think it's a good idea to give riders some options, and other conductors followed suit.
Someone else thought it was a good idea (can't remember who at the moment, but it was someone in our sc generation) to put the little blurb above our wishlist...accept printables/multiples/inserts, etc........ and now all of us conductors include that on our trains.
Another brilliant idea, which I originally stole from KK7, is to divide my posts set aside for wishlists into more than one post. Honestly, before I joined one of her trains the thought never even occurred to me and it has made my conducting life sooooo much easier!
All of these little ideas make us better conductors, but if someone comes up with a truly original idea......
Let's say Pumpkin's Unicorn Train.
Then, that's a whole concept that people get upset with if you copy.Last edited by nat77; Tue, May 7th, 2013 at 08:29 AM.
