They have the "All You Need Is Cheese" shows in the Direct Energy building, they have them every hour starting at 11am, ending at I think 7pm. There's two sides to their stage, one is a cheese cooking demo and the other is cheese tasting. I went last week and was able to sample some mac and cheese and got a free cheese knife at the cooking demo. The cheese tasting allows you to sample 6 different Ontario cheeses and at the end they give out a cold pack for lunch boxes for the kids and some cheese notebook for the adults, can't remember what it's purpose was since I was able to get the cold pack even though I wasn't a kid.
They had Twistos chips and hummus dip last week but it wasn't there when I went today. There was also free Sunny D samples as well, but that has been replaced by the Krave cereal this week. Looks like they change up what they're giving out each week, so don't expect to find the same freebies if you go next week!

Freebies at CNE...When I was there on Thursday the 23rd, Kiss92.5 (the radio station) was on site, just outside the Direct Energy Centre. I sang a song as karoke and then spun their wheel. Got a nice free T-shirt. Also, to anyone who just likes to go down for a few hours, $5 after 5pm Monday to Thursday. (not including Labour Day). Buildings are open till 10pm, midway till 12am, casino open to 6am

Our tickets were free, + free Sky Ride tickets from PC, and we got a Presidents Choice tshirt, & black tote bags. Tried some All you need is Cheese cake bars samples, got a very nice & decent size fancy fruit inside soap sample, & Rogers flat water bottles. Had a mini cup of M&M's from a dispenser, fudge samples, & there are always lots of dips samples. Found some very cute accessories for just $1. But I spent "big bucks" on fudge! Gotta get fudge. We even scored on $5 parking behind the Go Station, so a great day at the Ex!

We went on Day 1 , the tkts. that day were $8 and there were no freebies at all , except for the All you need cheese demo....yummy !!! , but since the crowd was also thin , a great time was had by enjoying all the shows and some rides. Oh yeah !! where the Sky ride ends....opp. Food Building , there are tents for sports teams and you can play Basketball, kick a soccer ball etc., got nice Raptors headbands.

does anyone know what would be a better day to go?
we're down to the last 2 days of the ex, and i have been out of town.
i can't decide if we should go on Sunday or Monday/Labour Day/last day!
which day is likely to be less chaotic? also, hubby said he heard that the very last day has some extra special things going on, but then he usually hears half of something, totally misinterprets it and then tells me a wildly inaccurate story. so yeah, i don't really trust him lol.
any input??In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts
