I've used the free AVG virus software for about 10 years now.
It updates everyday and I've never had a problem.
Knock on wood, I've never been infected with a virus.

AVG is okay, I use Avast and Avira, which both have higher rates. Remember, this was wasn't meant to be forever, if it was, I wouldn't have let Norton on. It's overrated, imo.

I use Linux.
If you want, I'll store everyone's viruses on my hard drive for them. Give me as much as you want. They'll be totally dormant. Just like an ordinary text file.
While everyone else is freaking out shopping for A-V solutions, installing them, updating them, scanning, worrying, trying to rescue their crashed Windows,
I'm surfing. And relatively bored.
