    There is a giveaway weekend taking place September 8th and 9th they most likely happen all the time but a first for me.

    Is anybody taking part in this? i know i am on the hunt for a deep fryer and a vacuum,lamp for sure..and who knows maybe a couple wall decorations or something.

    i am far to excited for this

    yes, it happens once in fall and once in spring (may). It is hit and miss what you can find, sometimes really good, sometimes just junk, but go early!

    This date is picked for the Island Lakes neighbourhood garage sale for this reason. Anything leftover from g-sales gets put to the curb and many trucks come by the late afternoon/early evening of the 8th for this reason and score tonnes of goodies.

    I guess it all depends - some people realize late that it is free weekend and don't put stuff out until Saturday evening

    I have managed to snag some awesome stuff - last year I got a Little Tykes Play Structure which retails at Toys R Us for $199 for FREE Absolutely nothing wrong with it

    My area is already starting to put things out - can't wait!!!

    Reminder to move all my kids toys off the front lawn
