You do not need any equipment to clean your jewellery. This little trick works for gold and silver and is safe for diamonds and stones, but I have never tried it on pearls. Boil some hot water about 1 cup and add 2 teaspoons of salt, take some aluminium foil and rip small pieces of the size of 2x2 inches off(does not have to be perfect, any small size will do) put these pieces in the hot salt water and add your jewellery/pieces,stir and let it sit 3-4 ,minutes remove jewellery and buff a little with soft cloth. Works great on silver spoons etc.
