I wonder if maybe the pods aren't breaking until later in the cycle and not rinsing completely. You could try doing an extra rinse cycle. To calm the rash you can use a hydrocortizone cream (available at the drugstore). I have a sensitivity to a lot of soaps, I find the cream soothes down a rash within a few days.

I'm allergic to all Tide products. I've always been allergic to a lot of detergents, and have had to get samples to find out which ones I'm allergic to and which ones I'm not allergic to.

Ugh I've had that before. My sister is allergic to most kinds of laundry soap. My mum finally found one that works then tried the tablet form of the same brand only for me to break out in a red itchy rash.

So sorry to hear! This has happened to my friend with Sunlight. Tide has helped her. Woolite may also be a good option. Do they make Ivory laundry soap anymore? Bet you'd have no problems with that one

Oh, that's just awful! I haven't used Tide for years because it's so harsh.
For a while I went to just using Ivory Snow, then slowly eased back out into the wider market.
Now we use Purex, Old Dutch, Arm and Hammer, Xtra - all are fine for my very sensitive skin.

I know exactly how you are feeling! I had a bad reaction to Tide with cold water about 7 years ago, I was covered head to toe (my mom had washed all my clothes and bed sheets with it). It took 3 washes to get it all out, and ever since then, I've never used the product again, or even anything scented. For fear it will happen again. The doctors had given me antibiotics with steroids to take down the rash.
I had emailed tide and they gave their sincere apologies. I also googled it, and it seems many more people have had reactions to their products.

It took 3 washes to get my clothes to the point where I could wear them again without breaking out. I now only use Gain or Purex. Here's to hoping you have a fast recovery and possibly find out why it happened.

Sorry to hear they don't agree with you. Hope the reaction clears up soon!!

I haven't tried them for that reason. They smell so good but no doubt that strong scent will be too harsh for my kids sensitive skin.

Sorry to hear about your reaction. I too liked how the pods worked, but can't handle the smell!!! Had to rewash all my clothes twice with extra rinses each time to get to a tolerable level!

    Hope you feel better soon!

I've got super sensitive skin too. I mostly use Tide, disappointed though that I can't get the Tide "free" version in HE.. but the worst for me is Sunlight. That stuff not only makes me break out, it interacts with my skin and causes me to have a horrible odor to me! It's gross!
