can someone please explain to me how this cadbury chocolate deal works? I realize you have to buy 4 to get the 8000pts but I see people buying them redeeming? Isn't there a limit to how many you can buy in 1 transaction? When is this deal on till? Am I too late???

No it's not too late but YMMV, given that some stores are limiting quantities.
Simply put : you buy 24 Dairy Milk tablets plus anything that costs over $2, for a total of $50. You then exchange 25000 points (worth $50 today). And you get back 48000 bonus points. Rince, repeat.

SDM is not limiting the number of bars in most locations so i just picked up up a number of bars and did a redemption and got almost double the bonus points i started with. Once is enough for me, but wow it sure is a good deal!
Between this and the Nestea coupons I am set for junk for several months and I now have enough points for a redemption ready for December! : )
It seems really strange to me that SDM has not limited this to 4 bars. I have never bought anything at SDM that didn't revert to regular price for the fifth and subsequet items. Even those little tiny jars of baby food were limited to 4! When my kids were small I wore a path going from the baby food to the cash to the car over and over again trying to get enough for just a few weeks.Last edited by frugalmom2; Sun, Sep 9th, 2012 at 06:16 PM. There is no limit, atleast where I am. but you might want to go sooner rather then later as more and more people are finding out about this.
Basically you use your points to redeem for the chocolate and in the end you get more points then you put out. You do have to cover the tax on the chocolate tho
I redeemed 95,000 points and in the end I got back 216,150Insert Clever Signature Here

I guess another question is, if we don't redeem the 25,000 points today and buy the chocolate bars this week and still get the 8000 points when you buy 4 bars, is that still the same deal or worth it or is this deal really only good for redeeming the 25,000 points and getting the points? Can someone clarify - TIA!

If you wait until later in the week, basically what you will be getting is the equivalent of free chocolate : 4 bars = $8 and will give you a bonus of 8000 points, worth $10 (but you will pay taxes, so the "profit" is less).
Whereas today, if you exchange points you spend almost nothing out of pocket (except for the taxes) and you get almost double what you spent in points. So you make a profit.

So they are letting you "pay" with points? I already spent my balance...........so would I have to pay for the chocolate then redeem?

You'd have to pay out of pocket. You'd earn the points on the transaction (plus regular points since you aren't redeeming). Then if you have enough points you can do another transaction and redeem.
Example:
Buy 16 chocolate bars for $32.00 earn 32,000 BP
Then you can buy 24 chocolate bars for $48 plus a $2 item, and redeem 25,000pts at cash to cover that cost (the $50 25000pt redemption is only good until today) and earn 48,000pts on the chocolate bars.
So now you have 55,000 points!

Of course you'll be out that $32.00 + tax to start with though.

So if I wait until tomorrow, buy 44 bars which will be $88
Then I redeem 50,000 regular points, I should still get back 88,000 points?
44/4= 11* 8000 bonus pints= 88,000
so I still won't lose out if pocket other than taxes and gain 38,000
(used 50,000, made 88,000)
My head hurts, is my math right?
