My local stores were already sold out on the weekend, my usual store told me the first 2 redemption people cleared them out :(
I was happy to get 8 today, its more chocolate than I should keep in the house anyway. I lack will power when it comes to chocolate

Actually I am not fabricating that the stores in my area have suspended the promo. I don't know why or if it is temporary and was not aware Shoppers was looking into it.
My stores are all full of cadbury. I just came back from shoppers and it looks like there are about 150 bars on the shelf. I didn't buy any as I went with limited money but I will be come payday, 8 choc bars and 8 crackers on the weekend :)

The store has stock and is not honouring the sales and points at this time. I went to SDM here in Strathmore today, there was a new girl there, and she was rude!!!! Made it all like she was king s**it* cause she was the cashier and yadda yadda yadda.... Can't wait to go back tomorrow when the rest of the staff WHO KNOW ME SOOOO WELL ARE THERE!!! The staff I ALWAYS hand out FPC's and coupons too and who I HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH!!! I don't care that she limited the bars to 8.... no biggie, but she treated me like CRAP!!! So rude!!!
Either way, now that that's off my chest.... I got the 8 there.... then went to a store in Calgary and they had LOADS!! They were marked as $2.99 but rang in for $2..... they had lots and lots and lots!!! I got 92 and it didnt even put a dent in to them!!
I ended up with 100 of them which is JUST what I wanted for Halloween!! So excited, not only do I have free treats to give out, they are AWESOME treats too!!! Oh and one more great deal!!! They had the multi packs of Coffee Crisp ( packs of 4 ) and Kit Kat Chunky ( packs of 4 ) for $99!!!!!!!!! So that averaged out to $.25 a bar as well!!! If I run out of dairy milk for trick or treaters they will get a full size bar still!!!! Loving this deal and so many SDM points!!!
Forgive me for intruding but I really don't believe anyone is calling you a liar. The situation in every town is different. I have chocolate galore here where as everyone else seems to be cleared out. Your issues are with your stores, and the management in particular. I think the line they handed you is wrong and very unfair. They should honor their sales promotion in all stores, but they do have the right to limit quantities.Quote:

I never called you a liar, I said the stores were being investigated by SDM as the promo is nationwide and stores do not have the authority to decide to opt out. The local store before I moved got in trouble for this before and the manager was mysteriously gone after people complained about them doing so. I am sure they are refusing the promo as you and others stated, several people in your area complained on SDM's facebook page and were told they were looking into it - but it doesn't mean it has actually been cancelled.
I don't have an issue with you, but I do however have people PMing me because I already modded this thread complaining that all of the speculation, insults etc are turning them off the forums and causing more confusion. Since SDM said they are looking into why those stores are refusing the promo, we should allow them to do so before people start trying to return their purchases because they think something is wrong nation-wide
