So today I went to Walmart (Dundas and Dixie in Mississauga) for some shopping. I went to buy some Similac Mom, which I was going to price match for $9.99 from Metro. When I got to the shelf, I saw it for $8.97. I thought, 'great! I have a $10 coupon and two $5 coupons.. I'll get 3 at that price!'
When I got to the cash, they rang in at $11.97. I told her the price that was on the shelf and sure enough, the cashier came back sheepish. She was going to change the price to $8.97, but then I remembered the SCOP policy! She called the manager over who said that if the item was $10 or under, I would get the item for free. Since the real price was $11.97, they rang the first Similac Mom for $1.97, and the other two for $8.97.
I asked them if the item should actually be free free - seeing as it SHOULD have been $8.97. Does anyone know?
Regardless, I got the three Similac Moms, AND got to use my coupons!
Also, does the SCOP apply to clearance items that scan as regular price but have clearance price stickers on them?
Thank you!
(This was my first ever SCOP, I was so excited seeing as I'd only heard about it in SmartCanucks. This community is awesome!!)
