Did you get any 8,000 BP for each set of 4 ?..that means its still Live at your SDM..unlike some other stores which have already reset their computers , even though the deadline for the new rule is tomorrow.

you get now 1 time only the 8000 points. everything after you will not get them anymore, so it isn't worth trying another transaction, that's why they will award the points later. it's now a 1 time thing.
So basically I wont be buying any bars this weekend, since we really dont need them, but the crackers I hate passing up at this weekends sale price
i just scored more bars and made 93000 pts
The cadbury family bars are $1.25 at pharmasave starting tomorrow as well. .75 AC.
well it was good while it lasted .. i think over the past week i've had about $1000 worth of stuff for about $200 oop .. most fun i've had in a long time
Ya I did one last sweep tonight of a few stores. All the tags have been removed and not much stock. I found some at a few stores and made my $170 reward and cashed it in before they decided to cancel the points. Seeing I missed the real deals on the weekend I ended up pretty good for buying the past 3 days. I guess if you still have time in your city clean the fools out before midnight ;)
I did the promo for the first time last night (Thursday). Bought 4 bars and got my points, no problem. I plan to do it once more on the weekend for 2 boxes of Ritz and 2 more bars of chocolate. Stock was low and the store said they are not sure they will get more in for the weekend. They did not have any signs up about the promo, nothing about getting 8k pts or about the change in the promo. I asked the cashier to check the points before I paid :top:

The stores near me played it smart and didn't restock -- shelves have stayed empty since Sunday. At one store Sunday night, the woman behind me in line had 4 Cadbury bars. She set them on the counter and went to get something else, and I asked the cashier where she got them. Cashier said, oh, here or there, different places in the store, very evasive. I went after the woman to ask her, and saw she was wearing one of the light blue "fabulous" T-shirts -- she was a store employee. So the bars had been taken off the shelves and put aside for the employees. Which was nice... I guess....
Sounds a lot like the Zellers facebook coupon fiasco.
To me this isn't the same as the Zellers coupon. Zellers just pulled the coupon and didn't bother to tell anyone. I was in the store about to use it and got refused. So i made the trip all the way there, bugged my parents with the car, then got turned away after spending time chasing after a stock boy to get the huge item I wanted. And Zellers had deleted comments from its Facebook page about validity, so it was essentially trying to make customers think they are crazy and the deal was never confirmed. Waste of time and goodwill. But of course they didn't care because they would be shutting down soon.
Shoppers has posted the change on their website. It's letting people keep the points they got (some dubiously), and still letting people get points, just limiting the promo to one per customer. That's not a horrible limit to me. They must still like how the promo turned out or they wouldn't continue to offer it, so they are likely still making money off the deal (because of the huge price markup during redemptions).
They offered the deal for a whole week before changing the limit so I bet that's due to not enough stock, rather than Shoppers losing money or making a "mistake" like so many people have suggested on this forum
I agree, they are handling it better than zellers did
