Hello all! With tomorrow being the first day of fall, I have started thinking of ways to dress up my home for fall. I really need to get on the fall decor bandwagon, especially since i am still in the mode for summer (yeah yeah i know!). Anyways, I was browsing pinterest recently and came across a few ideas for fall. And whats neat about these ideas is that they can all be turned into a DIY project...a little trip to the dollar store might be in my future! Anyways, I found some ideas from pinterest (with links to the original pic) that I will post for you guys (which is a recent post from my personal blog: http://tasteofaugust.blogspot.ca/). Whoever has come across any ideas, pics, etc. feel free to keep this thread going! Lets all inspire each other to craft a little, get that home smelling of fall (for me thats cinnamon and pumpkin!) and lets show each other what we can do (for less)!

1.Glitter Acorns - This is such an easy way to glam up any acorn or pine cone. I found some at the dollar store, and with a little bit of spray paint and some glitter, you have yourself something beautiful! Display it in a nice bowl and you have a beautiful centerpiece for your coffee table or dining table.

    2. White Pumpkins - I've been seeing a trend this season for white pumpkins. Again, buy those regular little pumpkins from the dollar store and with some white spray paint it will look just like this!

    3. Decorated Oranges - What a great decor idea! I think I saw some oranges on sale so I might give this a try!

    Great ideas!

You can also buy real white pumpkins from your local pumpkin patch, farmers market, or even grocery store. They're also great for carving come Halloween.

I got the October issue of Chatilaine and they painted pumpkins instead of carving them and put flowers in it. Looks really pretty!

I take a lot of the dried flowers out of my garden and stuff pumpkins with them , put them on the front gallery, you can use anything, branches too.
