Just to make members aware of the fact that Metro operates a horse slaughter facility in Quebec...Metro Richeleau and actually sells horsemeat in some Quebec stores. How disgusting...I would never enter a Metro store.

Then you'd best stay out of Provigo, Loblaws and IGA because they all sell horsemeat in Quebec. Maxi and Super C probably do as well.

i don't/won't eat horse personally but really, what makes it different than a pig, cow, chicken. at the end of the day they are all living, breathing creatures & if you are opposed to the killing/slaughter of one you should be to all. just my opinion.

I worked at a Foodland store in my youth, it sold horse meant in Ontario also.. If customers request the stores order it, they usually will.

Why is horse meat so bad? I eat cows gladly, and pigs are very tasty.
I'm not trying to rile anyone up. But why is it so serious if people eat horses?

yes horses are gorgeous, but so is a cow and a pig and are chickens. i don't know how we can say 1 animal has a right to live more than any other.

If you eat the flesh of one animal, why is it a problem? People get grossed out by cultures that eat horse or dog or cat but have no issues with eating pig, cow, chicken or duck.
