In Winnipeg, we just started using the garbage and recycling carts last week. Well, under the old system, our garbage day was supposed to be Monday... but it was delayed until Thursday under the new system. So, a few extra days resulted in very full bins. Then there were problems getting to all the recycling carts, so our cart full of recyclables has been sitting, uncollected, at the end of our driveway since Thursday morning. Today is Sunday. Yeesh.
