Given this country's present epidemic of obesity and the many truly horrible diseases related thereto, and considering Jennifer Livingston's fortuitous position in the community, I hope she will finally take advantage of a rare and golden opportunity to influence the health and psychological well-being of Coulee Region children by transforming herself for all of her viewers to see over the next year, and, to that end, I would be absolutely pleased to offer Jennifer any advice or support she would be willing to accept.

He must have been getting tons of flak for the tone and content of his email to her - if he had been at ALL sincere in wanting to help her, that offer would have been made at the first contact he made with her.

What an elegant and positive response to that mean-spirited man. I wonder if he's also written to John Madden, Gov Chris Christie, among others, too. Or is he the mysogenist that DarthPenguin suggests he is.
What on earth goes on in some people's minds when, with everything that's happening in this world, he feels it's his obligation to criticize a young woman, wife and mother in public like that?! Boggles the mind...

The letter was written in near perfect grammar and structure, probably a professor or polititions assistant. What a courageous woman to address this. She ain't even that big.

No, he didn't call her 'fat'.
He called her OBESE! It's none of his da*n business WHAT shape she's in for heaven's sake!! I'd be interested to know how many such emails he sent to the fat MEN out there in the public eye!!

One of the orginal e-mails said

In his initial email, Krause wrote that "obesity is one of the worst choices a person can make," then urged Livingston to "reconsider your responsibility to present and promote a healthy lifestyle." They exchanged a few emails, but Livingston said he wouldn't back down from his opinion that she was a bad role model. Krause said he no longer had the emails.

so yuppers...he called her fat. and if you read his responce that I quoted in post #20, he again refers to her weight as something he's prepared to help her with...
