I hope this does not offend anyone and if I'm breaking any rules by posting this please remove it I will not be offended in the least...my son has been taking part in the Children's Wish Walk for Wishes since 2007 when he got his wish to go on a Disney Cruise. In total he has raised over $25000 since then on his own (with a little help from Mom and Dad of course) by knocking on doors in our neighborhood and asking friends and family. This year he set himself a goal of $8000, he put together a live auction and combined with his canvassing he is at $7338.52 this year, and the walk is on Sunday. He plans to spend all day tomorrow out knocking on doors until he gets his goal. If any of you are looking for a charity to support this year every little pledge will bring him that much closer to his goal. Here is his online link for anyone that is interested. Thank you ladies

Oh my goodness...
I just found out that my mom has to have heart surgery on Monday morning, so I will be heading up to Ottawa this weekend to be there and go with her.
It has been a couple of days since I was on, so I thought I would check in;
My last post is on page 30, and there are now 62 PAGES!!!
Doubt I will get caught up before the middle of next week. CRAZY!
Good start on items for the kids train; some specific Christmas items on my adult buddies list will apparently not be out before hallow'een

Dear buddy:
I do not have a camera (although I have been telling my husband repeatedly that I REALLY need one "and they have pretty pink ones now, too" for Christmas).
My girlfriend can take pics with her blackberry and post them if we have to, but that would obviously be an issue around coordinating the kids opening their gifts ("You can open it, but have to leave it here til Kat comes!")
If you have a camera, would you please take pics before you mail?
I have already made arangements to do the same before I mail (and we figured out that if she uses the blackaberry to take the pics, we can log into SC with the phone and post the pics directly instead of trying to figure out how to get them from the iPod onto the computer and then onto SC!!)RRLF: Cineplex Passes, Optimum Points (and my sanity...I think I lost it a while back

Thank you
and thank you to everyone else who has donated, I see some names coming through that I don't recognize but I'm sure they are the wonderful ladies in this group, Trent will be thrilled when he gets up in the morning to see how much closer he is to his goal. I'll update everyone to let you all know if he makes it over $8000...thank you again!

Fruit or Nuts? Nuts in chocolate, fruit if it's fresh/alone
Peppermint or Gingerbread? (smell, flavor.. I'm flexible!) Not on the smell...gingerbread to eat, gingerSNAPS for eating are the bestest though
Favourite item to stockpile? Mmmm....Not really sure...Right now, diapers, but it's only cause I'm not using them yet! I seem to like cottonelle wipes. I really mix it up based on what's on sale in conjunction with the coupons I have though!
Stockpile item you go through the fastest? No clue...I'm always shopping! lol

Slambert - sounds like you're raising a fantastic little man! I wish more kids knew what it was like and how important it is to do things for others, no matter what the scale they do it on!
