What I did one year was take a black and a white top and a black and a white pair of pants and took them apart and sewed half the black top with the half of the white top and did the same with the bottoms.
I made a black and white joker hat with the left overs from the shirt and pants.
I painted half my face black and the other white, had black and white soxs mitts and shoes.
ta da
most people have all this available and didn't cost me a cent
If you don't have the clothes to do this, go to Value Village or Sally ann to get cheap items.
you could even do your hair.
oh ya I put bells on the tips of the hat.
I received third prize.

We went to a Halloween theme party. Everyone had to come as a drink. Some interesting Caesars, Pink Ladies, Fuzzy Navel (that was different), Scotch on the Rocks, etc.
I went as Dr. Pepper. Very simple (lab coat, stethoscope and name plate. I was actually tied for 3rd.

Not the most creative costume, but I don't have much free time to plan a costume so I'm going to dress up as an extreme couponer. I will have "extreme couponer painted on a shirt as well as all my unused oct 31 expiring coupons will be pinned to my clothes. For accessories I'll probably carry couple bottles of free resolve and other freebies from couponing.. I might come up with more ideas, but that's where I'm at right now

is the make-up they sell at wal-mart/shoppers etc. for halloween okay for your face, or should you try to stay away? I'm scared it will cause a major break out or really dry skin or something else! Has anyone used it and has it been ok?? Did you not look like an alien for the next few days or weeks after? Should I just really lay on moisturizer really thick underneath, and that will help?

I haven't used that stuff in years so I can't remember how good it is and how well it washes off. I would definitely recommend putting lotion on your face before the makeup just to be safe and to avoid any scrubbing the stuff off
