I just did a quick search for the product and the oxi part of the name relates to oxygen based bleach, so the product was the culprit.

It's a bit of a pain for me with regards to laundry, but I use two different products - a regular liquid for darks and then one with a bleach alternative. The liquid tide with bleach alternative is a great product, but I have also used the Purex with Zout with good results.
I know the OP's problem most likely stemmed from the oxi-bleach in their laundry detergent, but occasionally, when I've used spot remover on an item and then tossed it into the dirty laundry pile, an item or two gets bleach spots (depending how long they are in contact with the spot-washed item). I personally wouldn't use that oxi-clean stuff on darks at all, seems to me, it would end up fading them.

hmmm. I didn't know there was bleach in that product either.
This explains SO much.
OP_ Sorry you have bleach stains but I'm glad you asked the question because it explains why I am getting stuff with bleach stains yet never (well, never thought before now) that I was using bleach."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

OP, did you dilute you oxy in water before adding it to the laundry? That could be the problem. I've OXY'd many colored clothes, including some Lululemon, but I ALWAYS mix it with water, first, so there are no concentrated spots

I even soaked a white and green lulu sweatshirt overnight (and then some, because I forgot about it lol) and the green is not faded. I think diluting it makes a difference

The oxygen based bleach is not chlorine bleach.
It's supposed to be safe for colors.
I agree with CanadianBella. Diluting it before you add the clothes should work. The best things in life...aren't things

I've had that happen with some new towels and I don't even use laundry detergent (don't say "eww", I use a UV sanitizing thinger)
When I bought some towels on sale (light purple colour) they very soon had big yellow splotches on them where it looked like the colour had been bleached out. Except that I didn't use any bleach or other detergent! And yet some of my grandmother's old towels from years ago are still holding their colour.
I have just concluded that they don't make things like they used to, and you get what you pay for.ING Orange Key - 35355532S1

it was diluted to about 1/2 (save the last bottle for this and diluted it ) bc there is no need to use the amount they suggest....
interesting that new towels washed with nothing bleached out! thanks for that!

I've found that when it comes to linens you get what you pay for. I have towels from Eaton's that still look brand new. Eaton's has been out of business for many years now, but their towels live on. I recently purchased towels from Wal-Mart, which have been washed three times now, and they look ratty. I think it's just quality.
