Natrel Baboo - Mum Central Canada - I made it !

2 weeks ago I received a email from Mom Central about entering to host a Natrel Baboo party (playdate)
I always enter these and never seem to get picked well today my doorbell rings with a package from Natrel Baboo !!!!!

I was chosen to host a playdate

i never got email that i was selected and i got package from purolator today so looks like you were selected as well

No I did not get an email prior to it being delivered... It just showed up at my door !

I just went to the Mom Central Canada website and joined, then they send emails with surveys to take and invites to hopefully be selected.

If your giving your child Baboo, make sure you give them a lot of vitamin D rich foods or a Vitamin D supplement, also make sure they are getting plenty of Vitamin C rich foods. I had been gathering up Baboo FPC's all year but when my son turned 1 about a month ago he wouldn't drink it. While I was at his 1 year check up I mentioned to the doctor that he wouldn't drink it he told me its not a great choice for babies anyway. He said that it has more fat than regular cows ( 3% milk ) but its missing ( or short on ) a lot of important elements as well.

Baboo has 5g of protein per serving. Cows milk has 8g
Baboo has 133mg of calcium per serving cows milk has 291mg
Baboo has 127mg Phosphorus per serving cows milk has 240mg
Baboo has 31 IU of Vitamin D per serving cows milk has 90 IU

Something to keep in mind if giving it to your baby. The doctor gave me a hand out on why Baboo is not recommended for babies. It really Changed my perspective on it.

Having said that, congrats on being chosen, being chosen in itself it always fun. I have a 2 year old as well as the 1 year old, and the 2 year old eats a wide range of foods so there is no concern about a shortage of Vitamin D or calcium or protein, so I give it to him, my daughter also has it on her cereal and I also use it for cooking, its very rich tasting so they enjoy it. I just won't give it to my 1 year old who defiantly needs the extra calcium and stuff.

I entered this one too... and kind of forgot about it. Today I rec'd a Purolator package and it was full of goodies!! I was going to donate the milk to the local Daycare, but I was wondering if I could give it to my 3 1/2 year old. I think JennyFromTheRock answered my questions!! Thanks Jenny!!

Edited to say: MomCentral is an awesome website to register with. I had entered to be selected when they had the Huggies promo (Same 'playdate' idea) and I was selected for that one too -- a couple of years ago. Oh -- and the Cheerios promo playdate kit. You have very good chances of being selected!!

I never knew anything about this! Congrats to all you winning ladies! & Thanks for the info on Baboo Jenny, I was going to stock up on FPC's (since they usually have super late expiries anyways), but I'll definately be trading them away now!
