Great Garage Sale! - Chatham, Ont.

Well, our Garage Sale was yesterday - with set up on Friday. We were STAMPEEDED at 8:00 am when we opened the doors! Well, thanks to all our support both in giving and buying, we made over $1400 in 4 hours for our church and made donations from the left-overs to the local our Women's Shelter, Canadian Feed the Children and Bibles for Missions. So our little garage sale managed to help people all around the world as well as locally. Thanks to anyone who was able to attend! (I managed to get some great finds - including a terrific mosaic bistro table and chairs, lovely plum-coloured jacket, some picture frames, Christmas tags, Christmas cloth napkins, a lovely picture to give as an XMAS gift, earrings, a necklace, a set of queen sheets, a plastic wine glass with a flamingo stem - a lovely glass pitcher, and a few other things plus I ate and drank and spent about $40 total) It was SO MUCH fun! We have a "fill a bag for $1 or $2" at the end.

oh man that sounds like a blast. if only we were closer and had the extra time. maybe next year. great to hear it was so beneficial to so many. and some great finds too.
