7.7 magnitude eathquake near haida gwaii - off the b.c. coast

I used to have nightmares when I was a kid about earthquakes - here in stable old SW Ontario - and then when I was an adult - they happened a couple of times - I've never felt one though - thank heavens!

I was too busy watching Halloween DVD's on Sat night....didn't know anything about it until Sunday morning
Glad that it didn't cause any significant damage, or more importantly, no injuries.
I was thinking how fortunate this happened in a remote area and not in Vanc. I hope everyone is prepared for natural emergencies....
