some areas have been evacuated - can't imagine living through this, but lots (sort of) of warning.
instead of what we all have seen in the past few years
Been watching CNN and CBC for the last couple of hours. Hopefully there won't be injuries or much damage in Hawaii.
seems to be the depth that causes the nasty tsunamis:
indoesia- 50 km
japan - 24.4
this one - 10 km.
still amazing the 'ripple' effect - guessing what the hawiians are going through is
mild but awful,,,
Lucky that it happened far enough offshore, hopefully too many won't be affected by it.

So far it's looking like BC and Hawaii are OK. Good news.
my parents live on vancouver island.. i called this morning to see if everything was ok - she didn't even realize they had an earthquake
Earthquake on the west coast and hurricane Sandy/Frankenstorm on the east coast.:omg:
What's going on?
someone pissed off mother nature :P
Oh Dave, I'm glad YOU are the one that said that lol Although I was simply going to say: Perhaps the Mayans were right?!
Just thought I'd point it out in passing . . ..
Matthew 24:7,8 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
Just pointing out in passing....
mag average annually
