My wife goes bananas

I'm always proud when I see my wife adopt some of my frugal efforts.

I came home today to find 4 giant bunches of bananas on my counter. Which was a little odd; because while we like bananas and all, we certainly won't eat all before they brown. She can freeze whatever we don't eat and bake - but paying retail for that many bananas seemed a little extreme.



Until she presented me with the receipt. It seems amongst our flyers last week, she noticed one of the local Asian supermarkets was selling bananas today only for $0.09/lb. Enter the Walmart price match.

Score another one, and I couldn't be happier with her keeping on top of the game.

Bananas at 0,09 lbs..Wow I would do the same lol!!!The lowest price I have ever seen it in vegetarian fruit and vegetables store...saturday-sunday only at 0,36 lbs...and maybe they do that 10 time a year..wow..I am sure this store dont make profit at this price!!

It happened to me couple times. when you pm'd at WM, the cashier did not know how to put on $$/kg, instead put on pricematched $$ on lb instead of $$X2.2 = kg. in this case should read 44 cent / kg.

No they got it right, at 9 cents a pound, the matched price is 20 cents per kilo. We still have the flyer; all week they have yellow bell peppers at $0.54 per pound, I'm stopping tonight since that price is kinda ridiculous.
