Target's coupon policy...

I got an email after asking Target Canada about how they were going to play out their coupon policy in the Canadian stores. Here is what they said...
Dear Customer,


Thanks for asking us about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target.

To see the Target coupon policy, please visit www.target.com/coupons. Here’s some answers to commonly asked questions:

• We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issues.
  
• We’ll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
  
• There’s a limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon).
  
• We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we’re able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
  
• Returns of items purchased using Manufacturer Coupons may receive coupon value returned in the form of a Target GiftCard.
  
• We can’t accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
  
• All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you’re checking out.
  
• We don’t accept expired coupons.

The only thing is that in the US, they have printable Target coupons. Like Walmart USA. But Walmart Canada doesn't let us print coupons from their site. I hope Target will start something here -- Target Canada printable coupons so the Walmarts, Metros, Sobeys and Loblaws will jump on board. Here's hoping.

Target does not accept compeditors coupons but they do price match. Over all Target should be a valuable savings tool for us all. Thanks so much for emailing Target and letting us all know what we can expect!

And this is what I was just going to say.

If the following rules are for my local store:

I will continue to give WM all my business. You can't beat overage. And seriously 4 of the same?! Are you kidding me?! I rarely if ever only buy 4 of something. The only things I am buying less than 4 of this week with coupons are Delissio Pizza (2). The rest of my shopping list consists of more than 4 of one item whether there is a coupon for it or not. If this is to be the policy it wouldn't make sense for me to shop at Target whatsoever.

Every Sunday here, Target has a new coupon flyer in the newspaper along with the weekly Smartsource and Redplum coupon inserts. I get so many coupons her that I never have time to file them all.
