So this morning I wake up bright and early to get to Shoppers Drug Mart for 8am. I wanted to pick up a few of the Jaimeson (spelling?) Flu Shield Vitamins for $9.99 with 9000 bonus points each. This is what was shown in the flyer anyways..I found them on the shelf and there was no bonus points sticker underneath, BUT there was also no notice of a misprint. So I figured they just hadn't put it out yet. I picked up 5 (which I don't think is ridiculous) and $10 worth of other items to put me at $60 for my 38,000 point redemption. I do my transaction, pay for my purchases and when I check my receipt it says I only earned 2550 points! ...uhh what! Apparently it was a misprint and was suppose to be only 500 bonus points...So I returned the Flu Sheild thankfully and was able to get the amount onto a gift card. My question is that it seems a little fishy that the points were a misprint.. I could understand if it was really suppose to be 900 points instead of 9000 but 500? Thats a silly typo! I guess we will never know but I wouldn't put it past them..they have been jerking around customers lately with cancelling promotions halfway through for realizing that the deal is a little TOO good. Maybe they wanted to cancel this one before it even started.. Anyways, that's my 2 cents..what do you think about it?

Yes its a misprint...either intentional or unintentional

But they should have put a correction or retraction notice in your store , like most of the other stores..so as to not confuse and mislead customers, otherwise its almost like false advertising.

I am still not impressed with the unethical way shoppers handled the kraft promo... by the time i picked up some cadbury chocolate bars they had changed the promo and limited it to 1 bonus points per customer. There were no retractions... I went back and checked the next day. Not even the chocolate could wash away the bad taste the promo left in my mouth.

The signs were still up at my sdm for the Kraft one, but they still would not award me the points. It's just bad business.

I went out and got 2 this morning. Each had a $5 peelie attached! I had 8000 pts to redeem to cover the costs, and would make back my points. Was disappointed to see only 1000 bonus was added. I showed my flyer to the cashier who then called optimum. They are going to add 8500 points in a few hours here. (I hope). There was no correction notices posted, the cashier was advised to check the store email where the promo was a misprint. 500 vs 9000, that is a huge mistake!

I decided to check the shelves at a Shoppers I was in today to see if they posted anything. Nothing on the actual shelf, but they did have a small retraction taped to where they keep the flyers at the front of the store. I'm sure many people walked right by it. But it still covers the store's behind.

    Nice. Typical, small print retraction.

They posted on their Facebook page on Friday morning before the promo started that it was a misprint. Should definitely have had something both in stores as well as on their website though!
