Im excited to start learning and could use all the help I can find. Money is already tight and starting school has made it a little harder, but a good friend suggested this site!

What areas do you want to save money? Groceries, clothing, ...? Or would you rather make some money from being online? There are many different ways people save money. You can do surveys and other online things to get gift cards or money. Some people focus on Shopper's Drug Mart (aka SDM) points and other points programs. As well there is couponing and buying when the best sales are on. I suggest taking a look around and seeing what interests you the most

I know what you mean about SDM! What I've found with couponing is that it's a matter of getting coupons for products you want to buy, then using them when that item goes on sale for the best price. Some of that is a matter of learning, but people on this site really help with posting deals. As far as getting coupons, I started out trading stamps and baby coupons to get coupons I wanted; some people join trains. Both are great.

Very first thing to do if you haven't is set up accounts with websaver, save.ca and gocoupons. You'll find a link to all the sites and their hidden links here: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/215853-...oupons-canada/ I also suggest having a Facebook account since a lot of companies now use it to send out coupons or link to websaver to get special coupons.

Just like BC Gal said. Facebook is great for a tight budget. I just got my free 4 pack Liberte Greek yogurt coupon in the mail, from GoCoupons, via a Facebook promo. Make sure to check out the freebie section of this forum for more offers like this one.

cheers and welcome I too am always looking for coupons, deals etc. Although I registered on here a long time again I have not been able to get to site and then when I recently was able I forgot. I am not sure about surveys, I honestly have completed so many and the end result was not favourable actually should beneficial for me and free for her, never receive anything...I need some help as well with trade? etc. and am confident with the fellow Canadians on here we will do out best for each other y other main issue due to illness is reading compresion & as you can see spelling any help would be greatly appreciated & will we do all I can to help you - sharing our finds pro and con is the best
