When they stated "Gift or financial cards may not be used to purchase additional gift or financial cards", they don't mean you can't use your SDM MasterCard do they?? I think it means you can't use a gc or a prepaid cc to buy more. Or am I wrong?

if anyone used the SDM credit card in the past for this promo, how are points awarded for the credit card purchase?

You would get 15x points. So if you make a purchase of $150, you will get 2,250 points awarded at the end of your billing cycle ... or at least this is how it worked last year

That means you can't double dip, ie buy SDM GCs and then use it to buy another GCs, or you use prepaid credit cards to pay for GCs!!

Last year I used my TD Visa to pay for all my GCs for this promotion!

If you use your President's Choice CC, you get points (I don't know how many points per dollar).

20,000 points is $20, I think.
