They definately have gotten a new customer in me!! I never shopped there much before, as I found it a bit pricey compared to Wal-mart...and we don't buy alot of toys new, but since they've opened closer to me, I can really watch the sales, and make it worthwhile!

The $5 off Hasbro coupons are from specially marked Orville Redenbacher boxes. They have some great kids games that with coupon end up being from $5-12 (most around the $10 mark). The popcorn in the box each give you a chance to win a bag of free O.R. already popped popcorn. I've won 4 bags from the 3 boxes of popcorn I've gotten! So it really is an awesome deal.
So far I've spent:
(2) Microwave popcorn: $3.50-$2coupon= $1.50 each ($3 total)
(1) Microwave popcorn: $3 on sale at walmart right now! ($3)
(3) Board Games: $5 price match-$5 coupons= FREE
(4) FPC's for Bagged popcorn=FREE
So all of that for $7.35

Amazing! I was at a Toys r us to get some monopoly's. First, the manager would only price match 2. Then when I gave her the coupons, she would not accept them with a price match. She insisted that the policy is either price match or coupon, but not both. I told her it doesn't make sense because they get the money back from the manufacturer, but she wouldn't budge She said that the coupon policy specifically states this. Since I don't normally shop there, I'm not familiar with their coupon policy. So I left all the games at the cash and headed over to Superstore with no problems.
Anyone hear the same thing about Toys r us coupon policy?

Awesome score on the games... and popcorn! You probably threw that poor cashier for a loop... but at least they had the sense to ask the manager! ...and if that manager is an SC'er... HI!

Coupon is almost like cash for stores , so its not like they Are losing money.
They even get money for shipping and handling the cpns , so they are not losing even on that front.
In fact cpns are better than credit cards for stores.
For credit cards they have to pay around 2 % Transaction fees and commissions to Visa and Mastercard. For Amex its even higher , so lot of stores don't accept Amex.
If I had a store I would rather have people pay by cpns than CC or Debit to avoid the transaction fees
