Do you have any hobbies? What are they? How much time do you spend on them?
Cooking, I love cooking, I know it's sort of a necessity, but I love try8ing new ideas and recipe's.
I also love to crochet, scrapbook and do photography.
I'm with Holly, love to cook... spend at most an additional 10% of what I usual spend on groceries, every now and then for supplies and such.
I'm a gamer too...videogames...does that count?
I love to bake. I find it very relaxing. Unfortunately, I also enjoy eating what I bake and in recent years I've found it's harder to shrug off the effects of that, so I don't bake as much as I would like.
We get on "kicks" around here. Right now I am on a exercise kick and that's my hobby. My kids recently started skating lessons so we are in skating fever around this house and I take every opportunity I can to skate...cuz it goes along with the exercise hobby I'm currently on.
And coupons, of course. :)
Let's see: baking is a stress release for me (until I eat it and then worry about my waistline :P), same with cooking a nice meal from scratch. Not really hobbies but I definitely enjoy them. I run at least three times a week, and in the summer I go kayaking at least once a week (though I recently sold my kayak because my parents wanted me to stop storing it in their shed). I'd love to get into photography because I visit some gorgeous spots with kayaking and hiking, but I haven't invested in a nice camera yet (my digital camera is almost 10 years old, but it was top of the line Sony then, so it's still decent).
I love cooking, gardening(spends lots of time on this one), building stuff(flowers boxes, benches, for outside), home renos, decorating. Basically anything where I can get dirty and have some fun. :P
I love to explore things and photography. My taste in photography keeps changing. I'd LOVE to explore Chernobyl! And I love exploring mountainous areas.
:zip:
It's worth it. I'll go anyway.
I have a TON of hobbies.. some include cooking, baking, blogging, gardening, horseback riding, running, decorating, building/making things, etc. :)
scrap-booking, baking, knitting, crafting, shopping haha I consider this a hobby!
I love photography, but the only time I indulge in it is on special occasions or on vacation. I also love to cook and bake, I find it very relaxing to prepare a good meal or dessert, and I love that my kids enjoy baking with me when I do make something special in the kitchen.
smartcanucks, scrapbooking, reading and geocaching are mine
but according to the bf lately, its ticking him off everyday and texting all day long, lol
Came upon this glorious and wonderful hobby store in Houston, TX last week. it's as big as a walmart and filled with nothing but joy and bliss!!

teeheehee. Every time we go across the border to Port Huron I giggle because there's a Hobby Lobby store over there, and i dunno...with a name like "Hobby Lobby" my mind just goes x-rated places. It doesn't help me that you say its "filled with joy and bliss" either. LOL. Exactly WHAT do they sell in the Hobby Lobby?
Oh...and talking about minds going funny places, @vesper--when you suggested stealing the plane and you would be a flight attendant-- you don't wanna know what kind of frilly little get-up I dressed you up in.
Think maybe I better go back to bed and hope I wake up outside out of the gutter tomorrow instead of inside it like I am today.
I do a lot of cooking and baking for sustenance of the body and spirit. I generally cook daily and bake something at least once a week. Lately, I've been baking a lot of cookies, which seems to make DH very happy.
When I was a kid I used to love to crochet; I'm trying to get back into doing that now, but I find that it's more work and less fun than I remember.
I also love walking, hiking and motorcycling, but since I use all 3 primarily as a way to get from point A to point B, I don't know whether you'd call that a hobby or just locomotion.
Also, due to my frequent spells of exhaustion I have been spending a lot of time in bed lately, mostly napping, but not always ;)
Wow I think you may be the female Vesper! That is what lured me into that place!!Quote:

Oh goodness I think if we were married.... we'd divorce citing irreconcilable similarities LOL!Quote:

I scrapbook, make cards, decorate cakes and around holidays I try to bake new recipes I find and Christmas I try to find new crafts to make
Hobbies sure have changed over the years due to trouble with hands I have now - now they are reading, cooking, baking, some crafting.
I used to do tons of needlework - cross-stitch, crewel, embroidery, all sorts of pieces from big ones to crafts. Used to do crafting of all kinds, some sewing. Before digital came about, did lots of photography. Used to write a lot, essays and poetry; singing and playing guitar, gardening, volunteering... ah, I used to be such a busy bee!
I'm not handy or crafty at all - it skipped a generation, lol. So, I think mine would be Family History research.I've done it for years - on and off. I tend to do more in the colder months when i am trying to ignore coldness and snow that may have gathered outside!!
Hobby? What's a hobby? lol I have zero time for hobbies right now.
When I did have the time, and when I have the time again, I love to crochet. Crochet everything - afghans, blankets, hats, mitts, scarves, sweaters, stuffies, dishcloths, pot holders, on and on I could go...
I also like to hike in the summer, snowshoe in the winter.
I used to love baking, now it feels like a chore :-(
I like my hobbies to contribute something I will use, so my main ones are reading, knitting, quilting and learning to read tarot cards. I consider cooking a hobby when I can do it at my leisure on weekends. Cooking dinner in a rush after work is definitely an obligation. In the summer I grow herbs to use in cooking.
In the past, I've dabbled in papermaking, tatting, drawing, painting, astrology, spinning yarn, printmaking, sewing clothes, and fabric dyeing.
