Canadian Tire - Scratch Card Event - November 17th

It has been reported that there will be a scratch card event at Canadian Tire locations this Saturday November 17th.

You can win anywhere from 10% - 100% off your purchase.

I do not have any further details so I can not answer any questions regarding this.

I personally rather prefer the $5 cards but savings is savings when you need to get something there anyways.

Not sure, but since I am planning on using CT money to purchase presents it won't matter to me if thats what I get back.

I work at canadian tire and it is canadian tire money you will get not a % off your purchase,we had this for 2 days last weekend as well.You can scratch from 10-100% back in CT money.Last weekend at the store i work at you had to pay by CT credit card,debit or cash so if you use a reg Credit card you don't get a scratch card.

I know we gave out a lot of CT money,mainly 10 or 20 percent but some people making big purchases were get 50-100 CT money.

Last year, around this time CT had a scratch card for $5, $10, $50 and $100 off your purchase. I've been patiently waiting for someone to come on here and say that the promotion is back again! I don't have much use for the % off cards unless they come out in the flyers. Here in NS we were excluded from the last scratch card so I'm crossing my fingers that they will bring it back here.

I'm not sure if it was canada wide this past weekend or not,it may have been just NL as we do have local sales from time to time.

I"m also not sure about the CT money,hmmm i will ask at work tomorrow and let you know.

I just spoke with someone from my local paper yesterday because the last two times that we were supposed to receive CT scratch cards, we did not receive any. Here's hoping that issue is resolved. Thanks for the info.

No! Find a penny pick it up all the day you'll have good luck....same goes with CT Money!!! I'd be bending down and getting it all too!

I remember reading an article, maybe from The Straight Dope (my God, how old am I...), about the math behind picking up pennies.

Based on the time it takes the average person to bend over and scoop it up off the ground, he calculated that the ROI was always worth it unless you made about as much as Michael Jordan. Since the lowest CT money denomination is $0.05, I'd say that even with inflation, it would still be well worth the effort.

No,you only get a scratch card if you pay with CT credit card,cash or debit.
