I don't think there is a grade to pass the test but you have to be at least 16 to write the G1...I don't know the amount of questions because I have yet to write it.
Have you gotten the book?

I'm telling you from experience that the book is so boring! And it doesn't have a self-test to it...having a self-test kind of helps you out with the real test...well that's just my opinion

It's been a long time since I went for this test (nearly 10 years!) but from what I remember, it was 20 questions, and you had to get at least 16 right - so 80%.

I don't know what the requirement is these days... but when I wrote mine ages ago, long before the graduated program came into effect, you were only allowed 4 wrong....
I use to make my parents crazy by asking them questions from the book, and them getting it wrong, and then debating the stuff between themselves, and I would leave the room
