someone said last time around, we can use tape and lightly pat on over the gold area, rip the tape off, it will reveal little of what its behind the gold stuff.....I can only make out mines said lindt on it.....

I just stayed in my post office for awhile and whenever someone threw the newspaper in the recyclingbin, I grabbed it and took the card. An older gentleman asked me what I was doing and after I told him, he got a couple for himself . Then he proceeded to stay and help me go thru the bins for cards for myself!! What a nice guy!! I'm going back tomorrow to repeat the process. So far I have 1-$10 off card( which I will use with my CT money) and 10-chocolate cards YUMMY!

This is similar to what I did. Went downstairs to the lobby every hour and checked the recycling bin.

have about 65 cards(just got them from recycling at work ) i'm checking right now what i got.

just done... i had 7x $10 and 58x Lindt.
looks like i have to go shopping friday and saturday.

Well, I just checked using the tape method and I got one $10 and one Lindt chocolate... But I think I made it a little too obvious. Do you think they'll still accept it? I had to go over the area a few times with tape to make out what it said underneath lol

I have used cards that have gotten legitimately scratched up in my purse, no problem. Wallet, sunglasses, coupon envelope can scratch it up

Remember if you get a $10 card, do not buy something that you may return later. I bought a gift with the $5 off cards. It was broken and I had to fight cashier for 20 mins to actually get a full refund. The cash register wanted to give me less money back than I paid OOP. As if.

Oh yeah and you can't exchange for something else to keep the $5 either

I guess it depends on the store -- my store allowed me to exchange something I paid for in part with a $5 promo scratch card.

Bummer I got 5 cards from my neighbours and all 5 are chocolate. Uh not so thrilling as I still have so much chocolate from halloween.

Someone reported there's supposed to be a $5 coupon with the chocolate to use during boxing week. So... don't throw the coupon out with the bathwater -- I mean chocolate

How are you going to use the cards over & over? Is it not one per person per day? I can see going in 2 or 3 times to different cashiers on your own, but are you then enlisting friends to go with you & then getting freebies while your friends stand on & watch? Just wondering...how do you do it multiple times?

i have 7 cards. will use 4 tomorrow( 2 in 1 store, going in and out and back in and another cashier).since i have to go to another part of the city i will use same method in another CT. the other 3 i will use saturday. ;-)
