Make Money Fast ...?

So we've all seen the ads out there for making a quick buck... I'm just wondering, when you're in a pinch - how do you make money fast?

I'm sure it's not through one of the thousands of jobs through Ebay or Google that pays upwards of $500/hour [though how sweet would that be if it were legit?!], so I want to know - how do you do it?

Cash in hand fast:
1) offer to help someone for casual work that gets paid that day
2) apply through temp agencies for posted jobs. If you get interviewed within a couple of days and sent to the worksite, you could get a paycheque by the following week. Much faster than the private sectors' work two weeks and see the pay in week three format.

I have not replied to those kinds of ads in the paper or online. I think with the computers and social media formats available, bloggers tend to find out which companies will partner with them for posts, ad revenue or even reviews for money.

Since we are SCers, we all seem keen on the contests offering daily prizes...esp. cash!

From what I researched on line, there are lots of scams - take your time and/or
money and they're gone.
Contests, swagbucks, COUPONS are great - but nothing is big money or fast.
Blogging, chats are other ways.
I'm part of a chat group for years now they really pay for each of your posts, but again, takes time.

One excellent way to make money somewhat fast is medical testing. It is definitely not fun, but you can make from $1000 to $3000 in about 2 to 3 weeks.

i always see ads for these on the subway. the money is good but there's always a risk of side effects that may or may not present immediately.

Exactly.. some have serious long term damaging effects too, which are not evident immediately & drug co's assume no liability (they are even bigger mafia, compared to banking & Oil lobby)

Focus groups offer money, if one is in the big cities and in the demographic sought by the service or product provider. Thing is, you'd have to be flexible about the time as the session is usually set for a certain time of day. Sometimes, the company that sets up the group will place an ad in the newspaper to get interested names for future groups, then will call you when one is imminent.

I had one chance to join a focus group in Toronto. Well, I did not have transit fare for the set day so I had to pass up on the opportunity.

I find a great way to get cash fast is have a yard/bake sale! You can't retire, but it helps in a pinch.

Pawn shop or sell old items you no longer want on a site like kijiji.

Not $500/hour.. but, Swagbucks and LegerWeb are two great sites I highly recommend joining to earn easy $$ and gift cards!

I do mystery shopping on the side, I earn an approx $400 a year.
It's not much but the extra money comes in handy if you save it in your paypal account and withdrawl it at one time.

If you are handy go on craigslist in the free section and get some free stuff. Like wooden furniture that is damaged and restore it, varnish it and sell it. Doesn't have to be furniture but anything that you can restore!
