Just wanted to share my feelings

Please move to the right section, it took me 5 days to figure out how to post. I usually browse and can reply to a post, this is all new. I know my fellow SC's will understand. I'm a single mom with a 11 year old and support us alone. So here it goes, I went to a information session thru my work with about 100 people and 4 of my co-workers they had a draw for and Ipad and I won it, then the people who had the conference did not send it to me it took a few call to get. Anyways, it felt really good to have, because I would not have bought myself one, I told my 11 year old not to use all the time and take care when she does, Thursday evening she dropped on the tile in my kitchen and shattered the screen. I am not big on material things, however, it felt so bad, I was very sad, because it felt more special that I won it. Then, on Saturday went to Zellers to see if I can find winter coat, boots, snow pants etc for my DD because of the 15% discount coupon I found here, I brought my flyers and coupons with me, well I got home and figured out I lost my bag with the flyer and lots of hard earned coupons. (so sad, I had all my coupons and some that i managed to find that everyone was posting about recently that I had a hard time finding) so coupons that expired until Dec 2013 and all. I usually buy soap, body washes, body lotion etc and donate to shelters for Christmas with the help of coupons. Then my DD uncle gave her a beautiful silver bracelet with Swarsovki crystals Saturday night, we went to the mall Sunday to see if we could find her all the winter clothing she needs, a couple hours in the mall she asked me where is my bracelet? Needless to say retracing my steps did not help us, so she lost the bracelet. What a weekend.!

Thanks to all of you who share so much valuable information that has helped me in the past 3 years since I found this site.

I don't think we need to be fellow couponers and bargain hunters, just nice fellow humans to empathize with you :-). Sometimes cr@p just happens one after another, you know? And we just have to move on and appreciate the many riches we have in our lives that have nothing to do with shopping and material "stuff". Hope things turn around for you soon and there'll be even more brighter days ahead :-).

Ahhhh, that is awful. Hope you have better days ahead!

Thank you.....Just wanted to let everyone know, I'm not big on material things at all, I'm always more grateful for the other things that we do have, like health, family, love, friends and just knowing that we still have honest caring people left in this crazy world we live in.

Look on the bright side? At least you didn't pay for the ipad? That would have been $$$ of your hard earned money wasted!

I have a friend who cannot be entrusted with an iphone. She has gone through 4. She dropped one in a toilet, smashed on in the van sliding door, lost one and the one she has now was dropped, so the screen is cracked!

These things happen to all of us!

Bad things happen in 3s, some think, so that's your 3! Now only good things should come to you! I hope that for you!

Contact the place where you won the ipad from.. maybe they still have the receipt and there is some kind of warranty to help get it fixed.. can't hurt to ask

Thank you, I did and I even went back looking at every cart the entire store and outside. Did not find it, i do hope who ever got it, will make good use of the coupons.

I'm sorry to hear about all your bad luck lately. :( Maybe you can get the screen replaced? My son dropped my DH's ipad and the screen shattered and he was able to buy a replacement online for $50.

You can buy ipad replacement kits on ebay for around $50. Hope things start to look up.
