Christmas Decorations, Cheap/Free??

That is really hard most of the time Christmas is expensive because of that and it is hard to look for a cheaper price and if you see cheaper price you need to buy a lot which is the same.

buying a lot of cheap stuff is the same? As buying the expensive item? In a sense, you are right. Ever buy cheap shoes and underwear?

Garage Sales, Second Hand shops They even have sales at Second Hand Shops a little closer to Christmas. Hair barettes that you can find at the above can be "pinned" to a tree. I'm sure Pinterest would have LOTS of ideas, you could check there.

I personally like thick ribbon and tulle. There are plenty of youtube videos on how to tie bows, and michaels + 40% off coupons make them fairly affordable. I also love wool wrapped balls and pine cones, which are both easy and inexpensive to make.

When it comes to actual ornaments, I like buying one or two higher quality ornaments (love Etsy!) every year to add to our tree, as I hate buying things that only last one or two seasons then wind up in the trash.

{When we decide to have kids, I'd like to start a tradition of buying them one nice ornament every year, that they can take with them when they have a tree of thier own. I still have my first stocking from when I was born, its followed me through the years.}

As for decorations around the house, since we have a great dane, I tend not to put up anything easily accessible surfaces, because she can reach it. But thick ribbon and simple white pillar candles are my go to items at Christmas time.

I've seen some awesome ideas on pinterest like mason jars with twine & pinecones and tealights inside or glass jars to display your christmas cookies in.

I do love is making the house smell lovely too that always give it a Christmas feel. Orange peels & Cinnamon sticks in a simmer pot are really lovely.

Christmas is a best way to decorate your house rather than buying expensive products for decoration. Decorating Christmas tree is always boost up the festive celebration for this you can use Chandelier beads from velvet ribbons. The next thing is focusing on wrapping presents for this you can use that paper and fabric, buttons and rickrack. There is nothing nicer them receiving homemade presents.

You can gather pine cones outside, dry them out, then paint them with silver glitter! Put them in a bowl and you have a free centrepiece

I also buy next year's Xmas cards in January or February. Carleton sometimes does the big fancy ones 10 for $1. But they're the specific kind, like "To Nana" or "to my daughter-in-law."

The tiny pines cones from snapped branches and encased in 5mm of ice would be nifty if one could just keep them frozen. The clear icy layer makes the cones look like tiny snow globes without the snow.
