personally this is why I don't give out money. I donate old clothes and other items to charities that use them. But i will never donate money to a stranger.
The kids need to go to grocery stores for change. I saw a No Frills worker go and collect a good $2 in quarters from the shopping go carts...next time we go shopping Diva, u go in the store and i'll go for a walk around the lot to find quarters lol
You are right, I could he been nicer. But I was not.
The kids were in the car, I was cornered by vehicle behind me, the rear door opened on the one side, the buggy in front of me and van beside me. My purse was right in the open, keys on top, well it felt threatening to me.....coupled with the fact that this kid (I only call him a kid because he was probably 17, he was actually much bigger than me) and was making a hobby out of doing this, well some people are nice about it, I was not.
He was so close that he could have pushed the buggy over on to me and grabbed my purse and ran. I have no idea what his intentions were, he came up to me, cornered me and lied straight to my face.....and living in a city with a lot of crime, well I did what I felt was right. My first instinct in situations like that is to always be tough and on the defensive....not nice so I can be victimized.
I really should move away from where I live, not my type of city.
