So yesterday I did the SDM trip...redeemed my points and got lots of stuff thanks to clearance stickers etc. for a very small amount OOP. I don't have a huge stockpile of stuff because we are empty nesters..only 1 of our 4 kids lives close. but this evening, they came to visit and before they left I handed them some bags and said "ok, well its time to visit Mom mart"....so downstairs we go...triscuits, cookies, peanut butter, green tea, finish dishwasher soap, laundry soap, body wash, pasta, sauce...the list goes on....then to the freezer...ice cream, pizzas, juicy jumbo hotdogs, chicken strips, hashbrowns...I sent them home with 4 BIG bags of stuff they didn't have to pay for...retail value probably $150. They are trying to buy their first house so every bit helps. They were so amazed and thankful to have the stuff and not spend a dime and I was so thankful to be in a position to help them! sorry........Im tearing up....I got a reminder of how great it is to do what I do and be able to help my family..

mom mart lol. My mom always insists on giving us food too. And we definitely appreciate when my parents give us food, so I'm sure your kids appreciate it also

Awwwww very nice......I know it is a wonderfull felling that we are able to help our children....I was poor for a very long time and money ad to be stress Now i am in a better position. Just couponning in the last year made me realise how much money we can save. My son like shopping wen he visit. The last time he said to me ( Mummy, you most be very happy that you have all that stuff and now you dont have to worry any more). I said, yes it is nice AND i wish i had done this a long time ago i would of had more money for you. He went on by saying ( maybe we did not have much money but i had and still have lots love from you and mum you were and still are my rock). By him saying that i was is rock, brought such a warm felling hard to explain but, any mother now's what i am taking about.........Love him SO MUCH.........Love this site for also so many nice stories..............................Thank you for sharing with us...........

My DS does the same thing! Now he brings his own bags and a cooler for the frozen items. He realizes that I am still paying out for the items to some degree so he will do things around the homestead for me in exchange and offer to dogsit as well. It works great for us. I get free help and now he can afford more things instead of shelling out so much for groceries!
Just call me Wolfie
