ExpiredJust an idea for you all - save your UPC codes
When I open a package or a can or label, I keep track
of the UPC codes - this will come in handy when you
enter contests and they are required.
It's not a lot of work, just getting into the habit does!
Hope that this a good hint. (and it the right thread)This thread is currently associated with: N/A'Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.'

if you google UPC database Canada you should be able to see ones that exist. You could add your UPC there - i use it when i need a UPC (pm me if you want to know which one I use - i don't know if i can post the link)

Keeping the actual physical UPC code is also useful, especially since many major companies have mail-in offers that ask for the actual UPC to be sent in.
Even though it may be ok with BUYING four tubs of yogourt and have them on your cash register receipt, you may not have the time (or stomach) to eat them fast enough to cut off the UPC codes for a mail-in offer. So, it is always handy to have a few spares already stored.

my aunt used to do that, with everything. but i would get a file box or sumthing to keep track of them, and write on the back of the code what product it is for. you don't want to save the whole dang box!
i usually look the upc code up online, but as someone mentioned, sometimes you need the actual code!!!

Great idea, but I hang on to enough stuff already that I don't need UPCs too! But I never thought of checking the internet, so I did a search as mentioned by curls above, and the first one that came up (UPC Machine) is a great site. You can search by product and get long lists of UPCs. Thanks again for the suggestions.
