So today I did what most would consider a "big shop"..... though it was multiples for my Christmas Basket Donation (later this year obviously but must start early.) And of course, in proper couponing protocol, I ordered my product rather than shelf clearing......
It was a fun experience
Today I save 203.49 and paid only tax
In the line that formed behind me one woman from the back turned to another and asked "is she couponing?" To which the woman immediately behind me responded "She's not only couponing, she's cleaning up!" Three people (including the lovely LD cashier asked for my email address and the info for the forums of course) and I left with a smile
*note in the pic below there are three boxes of the Nice n Easy foam that are missing because I gave them to my neighbour who just recently had a baby and needs to feel pretty

That's some impressive shopping! I picked up 4 Olay body wash today for just the tax at LD and the cashier asked me "what are you going to do with all this body wash?" (I only bought 4) I couldn't think of anything sharper than "wash with it!"

Thanks for the positive remarks all. Yes, when I want to make a larger purchase, I typically decide what I want, organize my stacks, and call my friends at LD to make an "order." It makes life easier for everyone.... they put my product aside when it comes in (on days like today being the day after the sale, because I ordered it they honor the sale price) I always pick it up on the day promised, and on days where they receive larger orders, I'm patient as I understand how long it takes to organize all those pallets.
I do this for a couple of reasons.... I refuse to clear shelves, absolutely despise when people do (especially in my area as a local grocery store near the seniors areas has been on strike for more than two years, so, if pensioners are making the trip and paying to get there, I don't think it's right for them to find cleared shelves.), the other reason is I used to work in a grocery store, and when someone comes and clears the shelves, customers complain..... I don't want to do that to them
I did this with my ziploc bags as well. Ordered them ahead of time, and when they came in that week, picked them up as promised.
This order was four cases of body wash (they come in sixes) so I didn't want to clear shelves and called ahead
