The meat guy said that there was some frozen PC meat products going on sale for the two nights. 30 -50 per cent off.
The bakery gal said there were some bakery deals going on, but she could not tell me.
Call first, since not all Loblaws are participating. They had notices all over the store advertising this.

Sounds like Zellers Moonlight Madness sales, back in the day.
I think they are doing this since many people are travelling at this time of the year. They are trying to entice the loyal customers, who will get the deals.

They probably have the list with the store manager and department managers. I asked the day shift staff. It will be afternoon shift doing the lugging from the back room. It will be the evening shift who has to deal with the line ups. Might go and peek to see if it is worth it -- if we don't get a snow storm.

Wish they would have advertised this better.
This is a good way to do a sale -- on the fly.
But they may not get the customers they want because the customers won't know.

I agree! I was just there yesterday and didn't see one sign of this event. Wish I knew before I finished all my grocery shopping this afternoon.

I sent them an e-mail asking why this wasn't advertised --- even with a sign outside each store.
I asked them if they were waiting to see if the Mayan prediction came through, before they advertised this sale
