Canon Powershot 16.0 Megapixel

Greetings all:

I'm eyeing this camera at Futureshop.

Any camera people out there who can tell me if it's worth $140, is it decent? I want to shop at Futureshop since I have a GC. My current camera is about five years old, it's a Kodak that is similar. That took fine pics for us, but it isn't working well anymore, it often tells me batteries are dead when they're not! I'm no professional photographer, I'm a point/shoot person, mostly taking pics of my family.
